I looked at Delicious today, and it's an interesting site. Users can use Delicious to organize bookmarks by tags. This is beneficial, because it allows you to access your bookmarks from any computer.
I can see Delicious being extremely useful for teachers and students alike. As an art teacher, I could bookmark lesson plan ideas and art history articles. I can also easily share them with my students. As a college student (which I currently am, of course) the potential uses are endless.
In terms of web based bookmarking vs. browser based, web based has a bit more to offer. It's all around easier to organize, easier to share, and easier to access.
